How to set up WhatsApp alerts for media monitoring
Processing alerts: staying on top of coverage
1. Open your workspace
- Navigate to the Coverage tab and click Create Alerts.
2. Select create alerts
- This is where you manage your real-time media monitoring notifications, create new alerts, and organise how you want to receive them.
3. Review and configure your alert – Alert details
- Choose the specifics of your alert, such as mention type, outlet location, outlet type, and other areas you want to track.
4. Name your alert
- Give your alert a descriptive name so it’s easy to identify later, then click continue.
5. Mention type
- Select “Mentions your featured entity” to track when your brand or key topic is mentioned in the media.
- Click continue.
6. Outlet location
- Choose between tracking mentions from any country or specific countries.
- Click continue.
7. Outlet type
- Select one or multiple outlet types depending on your monitoring needs.
- Click continue.
8. Alert output
- Select WhatsApp message. This ensures you get instant notifications of mentions directly on your phone for immediate awareness.
- Click continue.
9. Contact details
- Enter your phone number and specify when you want to receive alerts.
- Click next.
10. Test your alert
- Verify that your alert works seamlessly with a quick test.
- Once confirmed, click Create Alert to activate it and start receiving real-time media monitoring notifications.
- You will receive a test alert on WhatsApp to confirm everything is working correctly.
