Comparing FT experiences - as the former US Banking Editor to today on the Lex desk.
Event: Roxhill Briefing , 13 September 2018 at Nomura
Join us to hear Ben McLannahan talk about his experiences in New York where he was US Banking Editor and now on the Lex desk in London.
Ben has been with the Financial Times for over ten years and has worked on the Lex desk already in London, Hong Kong and Tokyo. In 2015 he headed west to New York and became their US Financial Correspondent and latterly was appointed US Banking Editor. In July he returned to London.
In this discussion we will hear about life in New York and his experiences dealing with the largest global financial brands. We will also discuss how the PR community operates in the USA and any lessons from his experience there – how should UK based PRs handle to US media?
Then we will turn to the Lex desk and discuss in more detail how the premium daily commentary service operates and what arguably the most influential business and finance column is looking for in terms of support from the PR community.
