A former national newspaper sub-editor with over 20 years’ experience transforming raw copy into publication-ready stories, James is now the Associate Editor at The Sunday Times Magazine, where he is primarily focused on the production of the magazine, including writing the headlines and standfirsts that are so effective at pulling readers in. In this session, he’ll tell you why it’s so important for PRs to pitch with headlines on their ideas, and he’ll share his insider tips to help you distil your stories into one unforgettable line.
