Hacks and Flaks is back

Home PR Insights Hacks and Flaks is back

The annual cricket match between communications and business journalists is back.

The 15th incarnation of Hacks v Flaks will take place at East Molesey Cricket Ground near Hampton Court from 10.45am on Sunday 22nd September.

Over the past 15 years, Hacks v Flaks has raised around £400,000 for a variety for charities.

This year, all the proceeds will go to the fantastic wheelchair charity, Whizz-Kidz. Hacks v Flaks is delighted to support Whizz-Kidz as they continue to transform the lives of disabled children by providing the equipment, support and life skills they need, when they need them – giving them the chance to develop their full potential.

The Hacks vs Flaks committee extends its thanks to lead sponsors Lowell, London Stock Exchange and essensys, and co-sponsors Ascot Lloyd, Three, Just Eat, FTI Consulting, VisMedia, Emperor and Sharpener Communications.

The event is open to all, and all are welcome to come along – contact hacksvflaks@fticonsulting.com for more details.

Last year the Flaks won the cricket, but with an Aussie in the Hacks ranks, the journalists are confident of carrying momentum over from the Ashes.

Nick Clark, captain of the Hacks, said:
“The Hacks have been studying videos of Ben Stokes and Steve Smith all summer and feel they are in good shape to challenge for the urn, I mean Hacks v Flaks trophy. It’s time to bring the historic silverware home.”
