This week I recorded a podcast with Saira Khan.
She first shot to fame in The Apprentice, then forged a career as a TV presenter and now reigns supreme on ITV’s Loose Women show.
And this week she is appearing semi naked on the front cover of OK magazine.
It’s easy to think these people, people with fame, somehow achieved their success through a combination of good luck and pushiness.
The fact is within three seconds I could see why Saira has had the career she has had.
Truly engaging. She walked into a room of strangers and made each of us feel great. She was attractive. Physically yes, but more than that – you wanted to hang out with her. Her personal skills and emotional empathy were seriously high.
She was well prepped and knew what she wanted to say and how to say it.
And on top of all this she cared.
She’s also passionate about encouraging the women from the Pakistani community she is grew up in find a voice.
She deserves her success.
I’m taking notes…
You make your own luck right?
