The holy grail gift guide
I’ve had lots of emails about The Observer Magazine Gift Guide since I mentioned it here a few weeks ago and for which I’m very grateful. If I haven’t got back to you, don’t worry, everything is on file for when we start next month.
The guide will cover interiors, beauty, women, men, kids, gardening and well-being (no food/drink). And the emphasis this year – given that it’s going to be a socially-distanced Christmas – will be on post-able and deliverable gifts. Charitable, artisan, craft and self-care are also going to be big themes.
All suggestions are welcome but The Observer doesn’t tend to go big on luxury, so most items will be under £100.
One further hint about assets – while it’s great in some ways to have all suggestions themed and on a PDF, it’s actually quite difficult to see products clearly in this format (bearing in mind that I have a small lap top rather than a whopping Art Department style Mac). Far better to have some nice embedded images and then a WeTransfer link for cut-outs, which is the only kind of image that I’ll be looking for.
Lifestyle shots are useless. I’m being blunt but, I hope, also saving you time and energy.
