Wedding Season Build Up
Considering there’s an estimated 350,000 weddings taking place in the UK this year (57% up on pre-pandemic years!) I’m receiving relatively few pitches relating to the subject. |
Sure, there’s no big royal wedding to hook onto – although a Kardashian AND a Beckham have already said ‘I do’ this year (mercifully not to each other). But still, the lack of PR buzz surprises me given the surge in ceremonies. Perhaps I’m speaking too soon. So, if you’re currently planning wedding season releases, I thought I’d share what catches my eye. The timeless: Many online wedding-y articles have enduring appeal – looking at audience data I see that people still visit my bridal beauty stories published years ago, prompting me to update them. As content with timeless topics can be seen again and again, it’s always worth sharing new details on traditional themes. The trend-led: It could be something charming (such as ‘Bridgerton-inspired accessories for brides’), practical (‘why everyone wants a wedding creche now’), or worthy (such as ‘sustainable wedding favours that look chic not cheap’). Most wedding trend round ups might be done for the year, but these still work for offshoot features. The insider credits: Behind-the-scenes details of an influential bridal look can be invaluable. Beyond the dress designer, we want to know the exact nail polish and lipstick she wore, how she prepped her skin with facials and which PT she worked out with before The Big Day. Naturally, I’m sure you guys have many more ideas. I’ll be waiting patiently. |

What Bridget Thinks… “The visuals really bring the news of this collaboration to life. The press release also packs in vivid descriptions about the products as well as prices, quotes, and thorough ‘notes to editor’ outlining both partners’ sustainability credentials. The clear formatting means it doesn’t overwhelm.” |
