What's going on?

Travel Club 2024 is three interactive Q&A sessions with leading travel journalists, followed by an exclusive networking after party with industry PRs and journalists.

Q&A: Financial Times Travel in 2024

A former travel editor at The Observer, Tom is Travel Editor of the Financial Times and was named Travel Journalist of the Year at the British Press Awards in 2023. During his career he’s also edited the motoring section of The Sunday Times and is the author of White Weekends, a guide to best short ski breaks.

Q&A: The Telegraph Travel in 2024

Ben joined the travel desk at The Telegraph from The Independent, where he had worked for 15 years in key roles such as Travel Editor and Head of Travel. His first Telegraph Travel role was Head of Print, followed by Deputy Head of Travel. Then in 2022 he was promoted to Head of Travel and now oversees all travel content across print and digital platforms.

Q&A: How to write the perfect travel press release

Speaker: Ed Grenby, Freelance Travel Writer & Editor and Liz Edwards, Assistant Travel Editor, The Times 
Time: 5:30 – 6:15pm

Formerly the editor of The Sunday Times Travel Magazine, Ed now freelances for The Times and The Telegraph. Ed has been award five Editor of the Year awards and ten Writer of the Year awards and covers everything from family holidays to adventure trips to city breaks as well as commentary on travel news.

Since joining The Times in 2012, Liz has moved from Travel Commissioning Editor to Acting Deputy Travel Editor to her current role as Assistant Travel Editor. Liz was awarded AITO Travel Writer of the Year in 2023 and currently covers much of the UK travel content for The Times as well as hotel features and opinion pieces in the travel section.

Press releases are a key function of a PR service, but increasingly journalists are telling Roxhill that blanket send outs are just a nuisance that clogs up their inbox. Done well, they can be brilliant, though. Join industry experts Ed Grenby and Liz Edwards to learn exactly what travel writers need from a press release, and how you can make yours work smarter without considerable extra effort.

You can transfer to a different talk up to 48 hours before the event (subject to availability), and delegate substitutions are accepted at any time.
