An insight into the City’s most read business pages
The Evening Standard has always had a special relationship with the City. Editions in the past were timed to coincide with the London markets with the refrain “City prices” ringing out from newspaper vendors as City workers scurried for their evening trains.
Even in an era of digital markets and digital media the Standard has a unique position within the financial media. It is the only print newspaper that can address the business agenda the same day as it breaks and engages most of its readers as they wind down from their working day.
Nearly 900,000 copies are distributed every day and its 1.5 million readers are both relatively wealthy - 63% of cross-platform users are ABC1 – and young – the median age is 36.
