Anniversaries happen sooner than you think

Tomorrow's Business

This Saturday, September 15th, is the 10th anniversary of the collapse of Lehman Brothers.

Today, my inbox was suddenly chock-a-block with pieces reminiscing about what went wrong, about what we learnt or didn’t learn, about what the next crisis could be.

Some were better than others. The trouble with all of them was, I fear, they are just too late.

The Guardian did a Lehman analysis piece in August. The Times had a whole package over the weekend. The Standard dabbled last week.

The FT has also had plenty to say.

Papers might return to it again, might want an outspoken op-ed if the writer has got something fresh to say.

In general though, I think the hacks had this one planned out before the flaks kicked in.
